Imitation Being the Sincerest Form of Flattery

10/30/07 | by Mister Tredyffrin [mail] | Categories: News, Campaign, Board of Supervisors

A new post card has appeared in Tredyffrin Township District 3 mail boxes. Desperate JD DiBuonaventuro has lassoed two of his Democratic neighbors, Deb Mancuso and Linda Zychowicz, into signing a statement. Look at his offering.

And now look at Paul Drucker’s yard sign.

Wow, yet another Republican in Democratic clothing. Have things gotten so dire that they even want to copy the format of the TTDems’ yard signs?

And such good neighbors he has. On the flip side it says “I know JD for his straightforwardness, honesty and independence. He always takes his garbage cans in right after the truck comes through, and never lets the leaves pile up in his yard. He buys girl scout cookies from my daughter every year, and always picks up a magazine subscription during my son’s sports team fundraiser. What a guy.” That quote may not be 100% accurate… It may not even be 10%…

Anyway, just to help put things in perspective, here are where JD, Deb, and Linda live - plotted on a map I pulled from Jerry Henige’s “Where’s Jerry” page:

Two Democrats, on his own street, support JD. And that merits a post card in your mail box. Sheesh, I wish the TTDems had that kind of money. I wonder how that would compare to Republican support for Paul Drucker? Let’s see. Paul is on the Board of Supervisors, already, here in the reddest of red Tredyffrin. Just ballparkin’ it here, but I figure he’s probably got a couple more than two Republican supporters, eh?
